Rincón is a beach town and municipality on Puerto Rico's westernmost coast, set between the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south, west of the municipalities of Añasco and Aguada. Founded in 1771 by Don Luis de Añasco, the town takes its name from the Spanish word for "nook" or "corner," a fitting description of its position at the island's far western edge.
