Harrison is a town in western Hudson County, New Jersey, part of the New York metropolitan area and a direct neighbor of Newark, roughly eight miles from Midtown Manhattan. Once known as "the beehive of industry" for its factories and manufacturing base, the town has spent recent decades transforming its Passaic River waterfront and older industrial blocks into a residential and transit-oriented community, while retaining its dense, walkable, urban character.
